Google Is Reportedly Making Their Own AR Headset

The company has been rumored to be working towards a pair of AR glasses that could potentially replace the iPhone one day, so this mixed reality headset is said to be the start of things.
However, information technology seems that Apple could find some competition from Google. This is according to a study from The Verge who has heard from sources that the company is patently developing their own AR headset, codenamed "Project Iris".
The written report claims that prototypes are currently being tested right at present at a Google facility in the San Francisco Bay Expanse, and that right now in its current grade, it resembles a pair of ski goggles and evidently it volition not require a tethered connection. If this is truthful, information technology wouldn't be Google'southward first endeavour at a headset.
The company made waves years agone when they launched the Google Drinking glass, but it ultimately did not pan out. Google attempted to dip their toes in the VR space too with Google Paper-thin, but that was also kind of met with a lukewarm reception.
